Days 1-2:
Okavango Delta

Your Tour Kgalagadi begins with a flight from Gaborone to the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most stunning wildlife sanctuaries. Spend the first two days exploring this unique inland delta, where the waterways create a lush paradise teeming with wildlife. Enjoy mokoro canoe rides through the reed-lined channels, guided bush walks, and game drives that offer opportunities to spot elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and an array of bird species. The tranquil beauty of the delta, combined with the thrill of wildlife encounters, sets the perfect tone for your safari journey.

Day 3-4:
Moremi Game Reserve

Next, you will venture into the Moremi Game Reserve, a protected area within the Okavango Delta that is famed for its rich wildlife. Over the course of two days, embark on morning and afternoon game drives to observe lions, leopards, cheetahs, and large herds of buffalo and antelope. The reserve’s diverse habitats, from woodlands to floodplains, provide an incredible backdrop for photography and wildlife viewing. Evenings are spent around the campfire, sharing stories and enjoying the sounds of the African bush.

Days 5-6:
Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Your journey continues to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the second-largest game reserve in the world. This remote and pristine area offers a stark contrast to the lush delta, with its semi-arid desert landscapes. Over two days, you’ll explore this vast wilderness on game drives, searching for the unique wildlife that thrives in the harsh conditions, including the famous Kalahari lions, oryx, and meerkats. The nights in the Kalahari offer some of the best stargazing opportunities, as the clear skies reveal the brilliance of the African night.

Days 7-8:
Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and Nxai Pan

From the Kalahari, you’ll head to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and Nxai Pan, two areas known for their surreal landscapes. Spend two days exploring the expansive salt pans, remnants of an ancient lake that now host a unique ecosystem. Depending on the season, you may witness the incredible migration of zebra and wildebeest or the arrival of flamingos at the pans. The mysterious baobabs and the shimmering horizon create an otherworldly atmosphere that is both haunting and beautiful.

Days 9-10:
Kubu Island

Your adventure takes a turn towards the mystical Kubu Island, a granite outcrop in the middle of the vast Makgadikgadi Pans. This sacred site of the indigenous people is dotted with ancient baobab trees and surrounded by the stark white of the salt pans. Over two days, you’ll explore the island’s rugged terrain, learn about its cultural significance, and enjoy the solitude and silence that make it a place of reflection. Sunsets here are particularly breathtaking, with the island casting long shadows over the pans.

Day 11-12:
Kgalagadi

The final leg of your safari brings you to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, a rugged and remote area that spans Botswana and South Africa. Over two days, you’ll experience the park’s unique desert environment, characterized by red sand dunes and sparse vegetation. Game drives here offer the chance to see the famous black-maned Kalahari lions, as well as cheetahs, hyenas, and various antelope species. The harsh beauty of the Kgalagadi is a fitting end to your Botswana safari, leaving you with memories of Africa’s wild heart.

Day 12:
