Day 1:
Cape Town - Kruger National Park

Your Journey To Balule begins with an early morning flight from Cape Town to Nelspruit, the gateway to Kruger National Park. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your lodge within the park and enjoy a welcoming lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in one of Africa’s largest and most famous national parks. Kruger is renowned for its incredible diversity of wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. As you traverse the park’s varied landscapes, from dense forests to open savannahs, you’ll encounter a wide array of animals and bird species. Return to your lodge at sunset for a delicious dinner and spend the night immersed in the sounds of the African bush.

Day 2:
Kruger National Park - Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

After an early breakfast, transfer to Nelspruit Airport for your flight to Upington, followed by a scenic drive to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy a hearty lunch. In the late afternoon, set out on a game drive through the park’s unique landscapes, characterized by red sand dunes, sparse vegetation, and dry riverbeds. Kgalagadi is known for its large predator populations, including black-maned lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as herds of gemsbok, springbok, and wildebeest. As the sun sets, the sky transforms into a canvas of brilliant colors, providing a spectacular backdrop for your evening game drive. Return to your lodge for a traditional South African braai (barbecue) dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3:
Full Day in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Begin your day with an early morning game drive to explore the vast and remote wilderness of Kgalagadi. The early hours are ideal for spotting predators as they are most active during this time. Your experienced guide will help you track lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife while sharing insights into their behavior and the park’s unique ecosystem. Return to the lodge for breakfast and some leisure time. In the afternoon, you can opt for another game drive or a guided bush walk to learn about the smaller inhabitants of the desert, including various bird species, insects, and plants. As dusk approaches, enjoy a sunset game drive, capturing the ethereal beauty of the Kalahari Desert as the light fades. End the day with a relaxing dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4:
Kgalagadi - Balule

After breakfast, depart Kgalagadi for your return flight to Johannesburg and then onwards to Hoedspruit, near Balule Nature Reserve. Upon arrival, transfer to your lodge in Balule, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Enjoy a leisurely lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive. Balule is known for its rich biodiversity and intimate wildlife experiences, offering the chance to see the Big Five, as well as hippos, crocodiles, and various antelope species. Your guide will take you through different habitats, from riverine forests to open plains, explaining the intricate relationships between the flora and fauna. Return to your lodge at dusk for a sumptuous dinner and an evening around the campfire, listening to the night sounds of the bush.

Day 5:
Full Day in Balule Nature Reserve

Your final day on safari starts with an early morning game drive, the perfect time to spot elusive predators like leopards and wild dogs. The crisp morning air and the golden light create ideal conditions for photography and wildlife viewing. After an exciting drive, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.
