Refund or Cancellation Policy

1. Customer Cancellations

1.1 Standard Tours

  • More than 30 Days Before Departure: If you cancel your standard tour booking more than 30 days before the scheduled departure, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid. This policy allows ample time for us to manage the booking and offer your spot to another interested traveler.
  • 15 to 29 Days Before Departure: Cancellations made between 15 and 29 days before departure are eligible for a 50% refund. This partial refund accounts for administrative costs and potential loss of booking opportunities.
  • 7 to 14 Days Before Departure: If you cancel your booking between 7 and 14 days prior to departure, a 25% refund will be issued. This is due to the shorter time frame, which may impact our ability to fill the vacated spot.
  • Less than 7 Days Before Departure: Cancellations made less than 7 days before departure are non-refundable. This is because it becomes challenging to accommodate last-minute changes and the tour preparations are finalized.

1.2 Custom/Private Tours

  • More than 45 Days Before Departure: For custom or private tours, a full refund is available if you cancel more than 45 days in advance. This extended notice period allows us to adjust our planning and reallocate resources efficiently.
  • 30 to 44 Days Before Departure: Cancellations made between 30 and 44 days before departure will receive a 50% refund. This helps cover preliminary costs and compensates for the reduction in available booking time.
  • 15 to 29 Days Before Departure: A 25% refund is applicable for cancellations made 15 to 29 days before departure. This partial refund reflects the impact of closer cancellation dates on planning and logistics.
  • Less than 15 Days Before Departure: Cancellations within 15 days of departure are non-refundable. Due to the proximity to the tour date, we are unable to adjust our arrangements without incurring significant costs.

2. Company Cancellations

2.1 Minimum Participant Requirement If a tour does not meet the minimum participant threshold required to proceed, Just African Safaris reserves the right to cancel the tour. We will notify you at least 7 days before the scheduled departure. In this case, you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another available tour. This policy ensures that tours operate efficiently and with the required number of participants.

2.2 Unforeseen Circumstances In circumstances such as natural disasters, political instability, or other events beyond our control that affect the safety or viability of the tour, Just African Safaris may need to cancel the tour. We will provide a full refund or offer the option to reschedule your tour to a later date. Our priority is to ensure your safety and comfort in such situations.

3. Refund Process

3.1 Requesting a Refund To initiate a refund, please reach out to our customer service team via email at info@justafricansafaris.com with your booking details and cancellation request. Provide your booking reference number and any relevant information to help us process your request promptly.

3.2 Processing Time Refunds will be processed within 14 business days from the date we receive your cancellation request. This timeframe allows us to complete the necessary administrative procedures and ensure that your refund is handled efficiently. Please note that the refund processing time may vary depending on your payment method and financial institution.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

4.1 No Shows If you do not show up for your scheduled tour without prior notice, no refund will be issued. It is important to inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend so that we can make appropriate arrangements or offer alternatives.

4.2 Partial Attendance No refunds will be provided for any part of the tour that is not attended. If you leave the tour early or miss any scheduled activities, the payment made for the unused portion will not be refunded. We encourage you to participate fully to make the most of your experience.

4.3 Special Promotions Bookings made under special promotions, discounts, or offers are subject to specific terms and conditions. Unless otherwise stated, these bookings are non-refundable. Please review the terms of any promotional offers carefully at the time of booking.

5. Policy Changes

Just African Safaris reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Any updates or changes will be clearly posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting. We recommend reviewing the policy periodically to stay informed about any alterations that may affect your booking.
